ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ

This Programme provides an opportunity for all students throughout the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ to participate in an area of Extension or Enrichment that they may not have experienced before. Our hope is that these experiences may give our young people some insight into where their passions may lie. The students will be involved in the 2E's programme in one of two ways:

1.  A ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵwide Programme such as Cheerleading, Starburst or Art Extension - ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ involved in the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵwide Programme will be pre-selected prior to each cycle of 2E’s. These activities are run by a combination of Classroom Teachers and Specialist Teachers.                   
2. A Syndicate Based Programme - This is taught by those Classroom Teachers not already involved in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵwide Commitments.

In Term 2 and 3, all ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ will be involved from 1:40 pm - 2:50 pm every Friday, except during Awards Assemblies and End of Term Assemblies. This means most Programmes will run for a period of 8-9 weeks depending on the Term.

Attending camp is a memorable experience for all students and provides them with an opportunity to form strong bonds with their peers and challenge themselves with a wide range of activities.

Year 7 Camp

Late in Term 1 each year, all Year 7 students attend Camp Adair in Hunua. ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ undertake a range of activities under the guidance of trained YMCA instructors.  Parents are invited to attend either as a day visit or for the duration of the camp.

Half of the Year 7 classes attend Mon to Wed of camp week while the remaining classes attend Wed to Fri.  Please see ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Calendar for current year dates.

Activities include: Archery, Burma Trail,  Bush Craft, Cargo Climb, Climbing Wall, Confidence Course, Crate Challenge,  Flying Kiwi,  Team building,  Kayaking,  Low Ropes, Mudslide,  Multivine,  Orienteering,  Posties Walk,  Rambo Bridge, Super Fox,  Trapeze

Year 8 Camp

In Term 1 each year, all Year 8 students attend camp either at Port Waikato or Hunua Falls Camp.

Each camp runs for three days and parent support is required to assist with smooth running of the camps.
